Ca’ di Pusten
Of all the homes in our albergo diffuso, this little house, painted in the soft green shades of March, is perhaps the one we love most.
We called it Ca’ di Pustèn — postmen in the local Pavia dialect — because it was once home to Giuseppe and Laura, the village postmen.
It was a simple, generous home. There was always hot coffee on the stove, a glass of Moscato on the table, and something to offer to anyone who happened to stop by.
Today, Ca’ di Pustèn has been carefully restored with deep respect for its past. Its spaces and materials have been brought back to life, yet the spirit of the house remains untouched. Within these walls, you can still sense the kindness of those who once lived here, their quiet affection, their instinct for hospitality and the peaceful beauty of simple things.
Perhaps that is why so many of our guests tell us in the morning: “I have never slept so well.”
Ca’ di Pustèn is more than just a house. It is a state of mind.
